If I run Yuzu in desktop mode by clicking on Yuzu app image, it reads my sd card, it reads my keys on the sd card, and it reads my games on the sd card. Yuzu runs, loads up a game. I have configured controls in yuzu to handheld mode and steam gamepad.

As others have said though, Steam Deck will 9 times out of 10 not push a taxxing game up to 60. Tears of the Kingdom for example has absolutely zero shot of running at 60 on Deck. Many games will run well, but don’t expect all games to run at 60. The Steam Deck isn’t nearly powerful enough to do that.

If you face problems in yuzu try vulkan or openGL and see which one is more stable. Some games work better in the other switch emulator so try that too.
