I got around to doing the swap today. I figure I should post my findings in case anyone else has the same questions I did. My 366 has a square bore intake and the Edelbrock 1405 is a spread bore. The smaller butterflies easily open into the larger bore in the intake. As such, no adapter plate is necessary.
