Rhomphaia, voulge, long glaive, glaive... they're all roughly equivalent. They'll all one hit kill just about anything when you're on horseback, and one hit kill a couple of things with the slice through mod. The menavlion and billhook are probably the weakest of the swing-polearms and they're still more than adequate to get the job done.

Also, this sword is fast enough to land two swings (possibly killing 2 enemies) where a glaive would land one, all while equipping a shield and being effective against breaking shields itself.
