We also load a 7/8 oz with Longshot using CB and Orange Duster wads. Lately here I've been stumbling onto DEALS on all sorts of components in peoples garages and basements. My latest.. Found 6K of Remington SP 20 wads for a penny a wad. Also 2K of assorted once fired WW AA's also a penny a pop. And for FREE 1K of 20 gauge; Fed Top Gun and Rem Gun Club...Overview. I'm wanting to load some 20ga #4 buck loads and have a Lyman #5 load book which calls for the SP20 wads. I have looked high and low for this wad and it's replacement SP20S to no avail! It really depends on what powder you're using, and consequently the volume, if you're using Unique, you're in trouble, if you're using WSF you have more options. The STS 20 is probably the most difficult hull to find a suitable alternative for, unless you're using a very dense powder.
