335i/435i are the n55 turbo straight six. 340i/440i/mk5 supra are the b58. Supra is tuned up though, and n55 is the m2 non competition motor. N55 is good. M340i isn’t technically a true M (3rd VIN digit is A not S). It supersedes 340i, which itself supersedes 335i.
