If your draw length is spot on this will be less noticeable. I switched from 85% to 80 because the western state I hunt each year is 80% max lefoff. I’m looking for opinions on these bows with a 26 or around 26 inch draw. I know the Hoyt at 26 falls at the max of the shortest mod. I know Matthews is draw specific.I swore my next bow would be a Mathews after buying my son a Phase 4 this summer, it is such a smooth shooter. Well, that changed when I picked up an end of year VTM 34 for a great price. Hoyts have been a love hate for me. Love my ProForce but seem to fight my helix here and there. The VTM might replace both as I get more used to it.The phase 4 and the Cp30 are basically the same speed, true 30 inch draw length and 70 lbs. With the Cp30 having a 1 inch longer brace height. Smooth draw on comfort, better draw on performance except for the dump the last few inches. CP30 reflex is less than a inch. Phase4 is 3 1/4 inches. Phase4 is quieter.I had just sold a ventum 33 and wanted to try a different brand than hoyt. My ventum 33 was pretty dead also so I imagine the VTM will be close to the phase 4. I will say the Hoyt's DL felt short on both the 30 and 33 in comparison to the Mathews. I was surprised that the longer ata Hoyt draw cycle wasnt as linear as the 30. It had a small dump into the valley similar to the Mathews.
