The 43x is designed to give people a single stack 9mm Glock option with a longer grip and higher capacity than the 43. They have a 43 and a 48, and if you swap the slides, you have a 43x. Accuracy: 6/10. The Glock 43 gives you good practical accuracy within self-defense distances but may struggle with anything smaller than a torso-sized target at 20+ yards. Ergonomics: 5/10. The compact grip is decidedly small, making for painful extended range sessions. I do have failures to return completely to battery and/or off center strikes in about 1 in 100 rds with cheap 115 gr FMJ ammo, regardless of which frame or magazines I use. In either case, the issue is an easy fix and takes less than 5 minutes. -Slightly bevel the bottom edge of the mag catch with some sandpaper or a fine file. I put a slight bevel on the mag as well.So I assembled a G43 today and took it out for function test. Not great. Having problems with the firing pin not resetting and causing fail to feed - it sometimes sticks out of the breech face and the next round hangs up on it. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Primer strikes are inconsistent - some are pretty deep, some are pretty shallow.

Concealment-wise, the G43X feels like it hits that sweet spot. It’s small enough to reasonably carry inside-the-waistband while not being so small as to feel uncontrollable when shooting. Glock G43X.
