Hey Reddit! So I'm currently planning on using an estoc + shield to do a good old turtle poke way of fighting, and basically I was wondering what shields would be good for a build as such, and also if there are other weapon alternatives that I perhaps should look into. The main thing you want to focus on for this type of playstyle is the shield.As an old man once said - "Estoc is Bestoc". The estoc moveset, while less predictable than the other thrusting swords, still only contains thrusts and exactly one slash, making it extremely predictable. Using the Estoc in the left hand limits it's amazing moveset to one attack.
